Discover LVHA Scholarships

LVHA is proud to lead in philanthropy and education, supporting the Southern Nevada community and the tourism industry. To date, LVHA has raised over $1.3 million in scholarships and charitable donations. These funds help aspiring students and future leaders in hospitality achieve their educational dreams.

How to Apply

Follow these steps to complete your application for LVHA scholarships:

1. Complete the General Application: Start your application here. Be sure to answer all questions and upload the required documents:
   • Current high school transcript
   • Financial need statement
   • Resume
   • Letter of recommendation
   • A selfie

   Don't have all documents ready? Upload placeholders and edit your application later. Always hit "Submit" after making changes to refresh your scholarship eligibility.

2. Review Scholarship Listings: Once submitted, a list of eligible scholarships will appear. Check each scholarship for specific requirements and upload any additional documents needed.
3. Submit Your Application: Be sure to finalize and submit all applications by February 2, 2026.

Available Scholarships

Child of LVHA Scholarship

Award: Up to $2,500 per year
Eligibility: Children or grandchildren of LVHA members in good standing for at least one year. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

• Write a 400-500 word essay: "How will this scholarship help with my education?"
• Provide transcripts, resume, and a financial need letter.
• Please remember to select "YES" to the following question: "Are you a child or grandchild of an Las Vegas Hospitality Association member for one year, in good standing?"

Child of LVHA Graduate School Scholarship

Award: $2,500 per year
Eligibility: Graduate program students who are children or grandchildren of LVHA members in good standing for at least three years. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.

• Please remember to select "YES" to the following question: "Are you a child or grandchild of an Las Vegas Hospitality Association member for one year, in good standing?"

LVHA Valley High School Academy of Hospitality and Tourism Scholarship

Award: $1,000 per year
Eligibility: Graduating seniors from Valley High School's Academy of Hospitality and Tourism with a minimum 3.0 GPA.

• Please remember to select "YES" to the following question: "Are you a student at Valley High School?"

LVHA Mary Thomas Community Scholarship

Award: $2,500 per year (renewable for up to $10,000)
Eligibility: High school seniors with financial need and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

LVHA Sports Scholarship

Award: $2,000
Eligibility: High school seniors pursuing a degree in sports-related fields or planning to play sports at the collegiate level. Minimum 2.5 GPA required.

Scholarships at UNLV & CSN

LVHA endowments at UNLV's William F. Harrah College of Hospitality and the College of Southern Nevada provide ongoing support for hospitality students. These programs honor our commitment to education and industry excellence.
