LVHA Foundation Mentorship Program
Empowering the Next Generation of Hospitality Leaders
The LVHA Foundation Mentorship Program, launched in partnership with the UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality, is a key initiative supporting LVHA Foundation’s mission to inspire and uplift the future of hospitality through meaningful connections and educational outreach.
About the Program
The Mentorship Program officially kicked off during the 2023–2024 Hospitality Mentor Reception at Caesars Palace and represents a cornerstone of LVHA Foundation’s strategic vision: to build diverse and lasting relationships between hospitality industry professionals and the next generation of leaders.
Running annually from September through April, the program connects students from UNLV’s Harrah College of Hospitality with seasoned professionals from the Las Vegas Hospitality Association and its charitable arm, LVHAF.

Why Mentorship Matters
“We want to empower the next generation to become leaders of tomorrow by increasing their engagement with industry professionals of today.”
— Stacey Purcell, Chair of the LVHAF Mentorship Program
The impact of mentorship goes far beyond career advice—it builds confidence, provides exposure to real-world experiences, and creates a professional network that can open doors for a lifetime.
LVHAF mentors are hand-selected leaders with more than 20 years of experience across various segments of the hospitality industry, including resorts, events, sports, and entertainment.
In Partnership with UNLV Harrah College of Hospitality
LVHAF’s partnership with UNLV leverages the college’s existing mentorship infrastructure, which has supported students for over two decades. Together, we aim to enhance the student experience through accessible, one-on-one guidance from respected professionals in the field.
“When students can talk to someone who has risen through the ranks in the industry and ask them about their professional journey, they blossom.”
— Maggie Hausbeck, Assistant Dean of External Affairs, UNLV Hospitality College
